I just watched Father of the Bride.  It's the first time I had watched it in several years.  It's a good movie and I enjoy it greatly.  There was a particular reason I felt the need to re-watch it and that was George Newburn.

George Newburn is an actor.  He played the Groom in Father of the Bride.  He is also known for voicing  Sephiroth in the Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts compilations. (We don't like to talk about Lance Bass)

Watching it with this knowledge was screwing me over mentally.  It didn't help that I had drank a caffeinated soda for the first time in several weeks.  I swear I could feel reality shift.

I have nothing against type casting.  I see it constantly.  It's useful, it's what made us believe that Bruce Willis could live through a gun shot wound in the 6th Sense.  I see it so much in dubbed anime that I play of game of guessing who will voice act whom before an anime is released in the States.  (All bets on Chuck Huber for voicing Rintaro Okabe in Steind Gate dub right here!)

I was watching the movie and I felt insanity close its grasp around me.  I kept seeing a man repeatedly transform into another man right before my eyes.  Next thing I knew, I was in front of a burning Nibelheim with my Masamune.  Okay, that last part was a lie.  I'm still on a caffeine rush.  I need to sober up a little in the only way I know how, by playing video games!  Just not Final Fantasy this time, it's what got me in trouble in the first place.  

I salute you, good actors!

Why is it so satisfying to see Bruce Campbell get punched in the face?

I'm sure he's a nice guy and he doesn't deserve it but when I see him get punched in the face in a film, it's very satisfying.  

Even in the roles where he only voices, the character gets punched at one point and it's still very satisfying.

I got bored this morning.  Being bored is a bad thing.  

I decided to look up Steve Burton.  He is known for being the voice actor for Cloud Strife, he does a good job and he has been good enough to be the only English voice actor for Cloud.  The man is more famous for playing in General Hospital.

I know that General Hospital is a soap opera.  I know that soap operas tend to have beautiful people in them.  I knew Steve Burton played in General Hospital since I learned he voiced Cloud.  I, seeing as the man was a consistent VA for a Square Enix character, did not think the man would be very very good looking.  I made an ass out of myself by assuming he'd be an older man my mom might find hot, but I would not.

I was dead wrong.

I googled Burton today.  What did I see within the first four images on the image search?  I SAW A SEXY MAN ON THE COVER OF A PLAYGIRL!!!!  The man was indeed Steve.  I knew Cloud was whore, the fandom contributed to that fun and funny belief, at least the guy is a whore to the fandom before anyone makes a complaint.  What I saw brought a new perspective of the whore thing.

I just had to share this story.  It made my day.

I saw Avenue Q a couple of days ago.  It's hilarious and all of you should see it when you get the chance.  Beware though, it is for mature audiences, and for  good reason.  I'll give you a hint as to why:  PUPPET PORN.  I've got all of the songs in my head.  I need to get an iTunes gift card so I can get all of the songs on my iTouch.  ^w^
